Old Skools Retro Center is an independently owned business caring for providing services to the Ellensburg community. We offer a diverse range of selections, from vintage accessories/clothing, to vinyl and all current styles of music.
Old Skools includes sales in a variety of items, such as vintage & contemporary clothing, jewelry, incense, posters and DVDs. We feature an extraordinary passion for music with incredible amount of CDs and records, that are also special ordered.
Old Skools features live music performances by local and touring bands from coast to coast and internationally.
Open Mic Night is from 7- 9 p.m. on Sundays. We offer this opportunity to our public for free and for all ages.
One of our popular live performances consist of Star Anna. Star Anna is from Ellensburg, WA. Anna’s music is a mixture of country with the sound of rock & roll.

Carol Cox has continued to keep the old time funky feel of Old Skools over the last 15 years. Providing local music, clothing, events and a great time, Carol loves re-living her youth with each customer that walks in.

Her small, yet diverse record collection sparked the idea for creating more than just your normal thrift shop. With the addition of seating, a stage in the back and a bit of work Old Skools was born. Cox believes the key to her stores success is the customers.
"I am able to connect and re-live my youth with each person walking through the door. Music has always brought people together. I've learned how to better myself and the store with each encounter."

Music, movies, and posters ranging from the 1920's to present day. Everything from Mozart to Fifty Cent. Open mic every Sunday from 7-9 p.m. Check our Facebook page for events about bands who will be performing. Bring in clothes, music, and movies for in-store credit or you can trade and sell.
We have hosted fundraisers, our most recent one being for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) Resistance training, which offered ideas for action to defend sanctuary cities, resist deportation raids, oppose the Muslim ban, maintain Planned Parenthood funding and also inform citizens of our rights as we organize to resist unlawful policies across the country.
